Grapevine in the Industry is that actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi is chalking out plans to get the hold on Film Chamber by fielding one of close coterie members in the upcoming president polls.
Last year, Dasari camp and D Suresh Babu competed in the Film Chamber elections. It was Dasari team member Tammareddy Bharadwaj who won the polls to become MAA President. As the elected people have completed one year in office, Chamber elections will be conducted by the end of this month.
Apparently, Chiru is keen on fielding Mega Supergood Films NV Prasad (Racha fame) as President candidate in the ensuing polls. It may be recalled that Allu Aravind contested for MAA President post few years ago and faced defeat by bagging just 8 votes.
On the other hand, Dasari camp too is in race to retain the power and prove its domination. A new demand of giving opportunity to the people from Telangana region in Chamber is also making rounds. So, it willn't be a cakewalk for Chiru camp.
