These days, Satellite Rights of the film have become a big income source for the makers to recover the investment and the heavy competition between the channels has been making the job easy for producers when it comes to bargaining. Few media houses have been well prepared to shell out any amount for gaining an upper hand over the others in the field and here is an example.
As per the reliable sources, MAA TV has acquired the satellite rights of Pawan Kalyan's family entertainer 'Atharintiki Daredi' for Rs 9 crore. This figure is never heard for any Telugu flick till date. Pawan's current form, Trivikram's brand value, universal tag attached to the film and the huge craze for the movie among the audience have fetch this record amount.
Producer BVSN Prasad is minting money even before the release of 'Atharintiki Daredi'. Already, the theatrical rights were sold out for astonishing prices in almost all the territories including Overseas and now the amount offered for satellite rights is like a big bonus.
Trade pundits say, 'Atharintiki Daredi' has done a pre-release business of Rs 55-65 crore which is the highest ever price for a Telugu flick.
