Veteran filmmaker and former Union Minister of state for coal Dasari Narayana Rao reacted in a film style to the allegations levied against him by the CBI in the fresh FIR registered by the agency regarding the Coalgate scam.
"I am not Boggula (coal) Puli, but Bobbili Puli. A section of media is spreading false propaganda to defame me. Everything that's been happening now is done as per the plan. The truth will come out soon. I assure fans not to worry," reacted Dasari.
Bobbili Puli is the most popular film of legendary actor and former chief minister NTR. Dasari wielded the megaphone for the film in which protagonist was a honest and fearless man.
Dasari served as Union Minister of state for coal between May 2004 and April 2008. In the twelfth FIR, CBI named the director and the company Sowbhagya Media Ltd (in which Dasari have 59.6 percent stake) as accused for accepting a bribe of Rs 2.25 crore from Jindal Group in return to favors done. The irregularities in the allocation of coal blocks during his tenure has pushed the veteran into neck deep trouble now.
