Mahesh Babu holds the credit for taking more number of Telugu films to Bollywood in the past decade or so. 'Pokiri' has been remade as 'Wanted' with Salman Khan, 'Dookudu' & 'Okkadu' will soon go on floors and Ajay Devagan & Arjun Kapoor (Boney Kapoor's son) would be playing the leads in these remakes. The latest we hear is that another film of Superstar will be remade in Hindi with a big star.
As per the reliable sources, Actor-cum-Director-cum-Producer Arbaaz Khan has acquired the remake rights of Mahesh Babu starrer gangster flick 'Businessman' from RR Movie Makers. Mr. Khan is so impressed with the fast pace narration and the commercial ingredients incorporated by Puri Jagannath. He offered a hefty price to finalize the deal with the Telugu makers.
It may be mentioned that Arbaaz Khan has recently made his directorial debut with 'Dabangg 2' which went on to become a blockbuster. He wishes to direct the remake of 'Businessman' with his big brother Salman Khan in the lead. However, this project might to sets only by the end of 2014 as Salman has got prior commitments until then. Hope the three upcoming Hindi remakes of Mahesh Babu's films end as money spinners to make Tollywood proud!
