M M Keeravani is one of the most popular music directors in South India. He has weaved magic with his music in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films. In a career spanning 23 years, he has scored music for more than 200 films and also won National award as Best Music Director for K Raghavendra Rao's Annamayya (1997). Apart from this, he has won eight Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards.

Known for giving most mellifluous music, Keeravani is one of the very music composers who elevate a movie with background score.

He made debut with Manasu Mamatha in 1990. But it was Ram Gopal Varma's Kshana Kshanam (1991) and Kranti Kumar's Seetaramayya Gaari Manavaralu (1992) that cemented his position as music director. From then there was no looking back.

He is equally well-known in Bollywood. His musical score for some of the Hindi films like Criminal and Jism are quite popular.

Presently M M Keeravani is touring the USA, doing musical shows. Today (July 4th) he celebrates his 52nd birthday.
