Buzz in the political circles is that Nandamuri Harikrishna who is unhappy with the developments in Telugu Desam Party which was founded by his late father NT Rama Rao is planning to float a new party before the next general elections. He wants to send the indications to the people that Naidu had ignored the ideals of TDP and Sr NTR.
Since few years, Harikrishna has been strongly objecting the prominence given to Nara Lokesh in the party and the way Babu projected him as the future of TDP. He publicly displayed his anguish on couple of occasions. Although Harikrishna attended Mahanadu 2013, he refused to wear the TDP scarf. On the other hand, Jr NTR deliberately avoided the party meet by showing the invitation issue as the cause.
Political observers say, 'If his health didn't permit him to launch a party, Harikrishna might also consider the option of campaigning for Sr NTR's die-hard fans who resigned to TDP and joined YSR Congress in the upcoming elections, only to trouble Naidu.'
Harikrishna once launched Anna Telugu Desam Party, but failed to make an impact. Let's see if he would re-launch his old party or floats a new party or settles for a compromise with Babu yet again!
